So your box is out 1/16”
And your firewall the same 1/16” it would seem. If you cant pound an outward bow into the firewall then you might take the time to make a thick iron bar stock reinforcement bar to span that gap area when the box is bolted on . A 2” long length of 1/8” thick bar stock would be quite stiff. Kinda the same idea as a valve cover load spreader bar. It would not look stock if that might matter to you, but it might get you 1/16” closer to having no gap on top.

And he was not talking about 1/8 or 1/4 mile ETs! 1) 1940s 100% silver 4 cup tea server set. Two dry rotted 14 x 10 Micky Thompson slicks. 1) un-mailed in gift coupon from a 1972 box of corn flakes. Two pairs of brown leather flip flops, never seen more then 2 mph. Education is what your left with once you forget things! Last edited by steve25; 07-30-2025 at 09:11 AM. |
