Convertibles have a gutter to channel the water into the rocker area in front of the rear wheels. At least the 64-67 did, I assume the 68-72 were the same

1968-72 had a horse shoe shaped drain that dumped water just forward of the wheel well. Large hole there for drainage.

Same design as the 64-67 like I surmised
