I always felt kind of sorry for Detective Wojo .
A kid would be in 6th grade before he could spell his own last name right. If even then Wojciehowicz |

Not sure if anyone's following my decal thread in the Lobby, but I finally got a run of SD valve cover decals done. They took some effort, but I'm pretty happy with how they came out. They should be pretty dang close to the originals - right fonts, transparent red, vertically brushed metal material. Much more exact than the existing repros. The hardest thing to replicate was the embossing. Thanks to those who sent me pics of originals to work from!

Great work on that project.
Wish I needed about 10 of those decals . How possible would it be to make overlays for existing faded gauge faces on 64-67 GTO . |

$15/ea for forum members, postage included. I have them listed for a few bucks more on Etsy and eBay to make up for their shipping label cost and fees. You can PM me if you're interested.

So close to being the perfect 74 SD , just needed AC to be totally perfect.
If it doesn't get driven , AC doesn't matter though. |

It looks a lot like my 4-spd. White w/honeycombs. I really didn't like the honeycombs very much.

Hello all. New to the group. I made a pretty neat discovery a few weeks ago on a 79 TA/TA that I purchased a while back at Mecum in Kissimmee in FL. Car was presented as “survivor” paint and interior and 28k original miles. I purchased it, had it shipped to me in upstate NY and it sat in my shop for about 2 years. The body on the car is very clean. 0 rust etc but a quick glance revealed that it was not the original 403 olds engine.
I did some digging, got casting numbers etc and discovered it is a 1974 SD 455! Below are the numbers I pulled from the block, heads etc. Block Front passenger side just below the head. 384396 Y8 Block rear passenger side upper rail 490132 Intake. LS2 Carb 7044270 SF 0664 Distributor 1112243 Heads 16 on the center ports ands 6-h The vin on the block is 24N132543 I found a SD registry online and that vin matches an engine vin on the list that is noted to be in a 79 TA. Unfortunately the exhaust manifolds are HO not SD. The engine runs flawlessly. Now I need to decide what to do with the engine/car! |

I would have thought whoever has the body would have responded to listing.
But I guess not every SD owner checks the SD Registry. But it probably means the Bird was destroyed. ![]() I'm sure someone would want a replacement SD engine. And welcome to the Forums!

For the emissions hoses? I think there is a good thread on here, Mike (HFR) probably knows it. I have some bulletins somewhere on it.
