The hideaway doors close when the switch is off, they still hide away the lights.

My doors didn't open on running lights, 1/2 out on the switch, so I had to create a way to open them and the above was the solution.

Tuske427, huh that's interesting, my setup uses the factory light switch and all I had was newer vacuum actuators. This still didn't open the Hideaway doors during 1/2 out running lights. I can see why the doors wouldn't open here since the factory headlights don't have anything to turn on vs normal running lights at the bottom and those of us with the fender signal lights.

OK, follow up, and I have good news for you. After my last reply I purchased an original headlight switch for my GTO and it now works like yours- meaning the hideaways stay closed in the parking light mode and only open during the headlight activation. This confirms it was the aftermarket headlight switch I had on my car that changed the function to open the hideaways during parking light mode.

So.. to get your car to function the way you want it to you just need to install an aftermarket headlight switch like the one I just removed. If you DM me your address I'll mail this one to you as I won't be reinstalling it on my car.
