I'm retiring this Friday...woohoo! My first benefit check won't be deposited until mid-December...I wonder how you got yours so soon? I filed for retirement back in July.

Congrats to everyone who is retiring soon!

Dennis

It’s been 10 years since I was forced to retire at the age of 62.
I experienced an unforeseen health issue (I seem to be all good now) that in a way was a blessing in disguise as it got me off the city streets I worked on.

My employer provided an awesome retirement with all benefits, plus the SSA boost in addition after 31 years of work.
Many people never make it to this milestone, but I did and I feel blessed.

Congratulations to all of you that are able to achieve this sweet spot in your later years!
