I used a stubby flex head ratchet wrench from gear wrench to take the booster off my 68 - took minutes . Absolutely no need to remove a fender .

I had to cut down a cheap wrench and even grind the box end thin as the booster bracket was too close to the nut. Tedious but it worked.
