Looking forward to nice cool AC as well! I’m installing my Vintage Air condenser and dryer today actually. So far so good. Made sure to wrap unit in cardboard to not scratch or dent!

Note to self… read entire directions before proceeding. Several steps would’ve been much easier to do in different order. Like trimming core support to clear lines, after condenser is already bolted in! LOL

Looking good, the Vintage Air kits go in pretty nicely. They work well too. Unfortunately nobody makes a kit for mine, so I'm just going to put an add on unit under the dash. I will probably end up with a lot of leftover parts after trial and error.

Almost forgot, post some pics of that Bird! I have a soft spot for green second gens.

Got tired of not being able to see the speedometer at night, put led bulbs in and it's great now. "Ice blue" is the name of the color, has a good appearance. The darker blue was too much.

Checked progress on the bird at The House of Hotrods and things are looking better. New reproduction RAIV intake from OER had much better fitment, but one of the coolant passage sensor holes was tapped to deep and wouldn't seal. With some research we determined that the TCS sensor wasn't needed to make the engine harness work, so a nice aluminum NPT took care of the situation. All the HVAC controls work properly with an outside vacuum source, but vacuum is not getting past the canister to the switch when running off the engine. Either a bad canister or a pinched hose.

The major culprit are the front seat tracks. So we've now learned that the 1970 seat tracks are one-year only and so is the floorpan. The bottom section of 1969 tracks aren't long enough to match the holes in the floor, and the bottom section of the 1971-74 tracks are too low and the adjusters hit the floor. So they're going to take apart my originals and the new 1969 tracks and reassemble the new uppers with their bearing cages with my original lowers. I'm glad I'm not doing that one.

All should be well though to get the car into the Arlington car show on June 6th.

Yup, sorry I’ve been so busy with family stuff so way overdue. Took this the other day when my new double pumper carb and air cleaner arrived!

I’ll try to bring my project build post up to date soon!
