Original cars I've owned have always had the front bumper flush with the fender (often to a point where the bumper's outer edge endura has actually become deformed), and the leading edge of the hood a bit rearward of the front of the fender to create the gap required for hood motion.
But when I first saw your picture, like jhein I thought the way yours is gapped looked really good - consistent all the way across.
The car looks absolutely fantastic!
