The gold section - is it made in two pieces? It looks like the seamless tube section got unseamed.

It looks like one piece. The crack isn't really on the radius. The cap was always hard to get on/off, so I'm wondering if the spring was binding and put pressure on the retainer causing it to crack. Weird failure of a part that costs more than it should ($30) that made a pretty big mess.

This is an embarrassing one, but with my schedule ....It is what it is!

Finally drove the 64 GP (more than just a 1/4 mile) over to the license bureau to get my out of state inspection, then one room over to the title bureau to get a title in my name (bought it in 2019 in California). Then back to the License Bureau for my Historical plate that will come in the mail soon.

Drove a total of 42 miles round trip on the hottest day of the year Thursday before the holiday. 96 degrees when I left the shop. It spit some water out of the overflow when I got there, but I think it was a little too full.

Owned this car for 7 years, painted it 5 years ago & it has been 95% finished for 2 years & this is the 1st time I have ever driven it. I WILL be driving it a bunch over the next couple of months!!!!!

God Bless
Bill
