I completed this a while back but did not update this thread for anyone interested.

I wired in the diodes to the four in column signal circuits - and it all works great.
Lock or unlock the doors via remote and all four corners flash
Trunk release - all four corners flash
To the traditional guys - probably not for you but I like it.
