Engines which were assembled before the oil drippers were welded to the valve covers used a separate oil dripper piece which attached to two center head bolts with threaded heads.

It's not uncommon for people to have tossed the oil drippers - so your situation isn't unique.

The only variable is how tall those rocker studs are, if standard height valve covers fit, then OE valve covers should fit as well.

There is nothing wrong with cork;
The principal benefit to rubber valve cover gaskets is that they can be re-used.
