Sweet! Thanks for that info. It felt a little low and I'll add the extra stuff for the weight. Better to get it right now before installing the fenders. Thanks man! I've got the feel for the adjustments now which is part of the battle.
Chad

Definitely planning to move it up 1/16" to 1/8" higher. I noticed the lower spec is 1/4" give or take 1/16". My 3/16" is 1/16" less than 1/4" so it is still probably at least close to within spec, but a touch higher and the extra weight in the door will assure I have a good gap.
I tried and can't move it back any further so the door to quarter gap is as close as I can get it, but it seems within spec. Luckily the door lower front is even with the rocker panel when all the way back. Thanks again for posting the drawing! Chad

Been house hunting for a place with more room for a potential bigger, better shop so not working on the TA much but I did pick up the NOS intake manifold. Can't say that I'd ever seen one before. Winters logo on it and the same 8.6.70 date as my original so I couldn't pass it up.

I saw that you had a 3983053 tailpipe hanger listed at one point - do you have one for sale?

If I go with a fairly complete Gardner system I've thought about buying their hangars. Just need to pull out the credit card, I guess. I think the guy I talked to at Gardner the other day said $110 for front hangars and $120 for the rear hangars.

I have been spending some time this evening going over this thread (I've been finishing up a fuel injected 64 Corvette as of late).
Chad, thank so much for all of the detail work and all of the references to NOS part numbers. This thread is a real asset to the PY site. Tim |
