JUST WONDERING.

I no longer have that beautiful 66 in my Avatar. whaaa! When a cat is dropped it always lands on its feet. When buttered toast is dropped it always lands with the buttered side facing down. If a piece of buttered toast was attached to the back of a cat, when dropped, the cat/buttered toast combination should hover, spinning just above the ground, as it tries unsuccessfully to resolve the inevitable conflict of non-scientific certainties. |

This question leads to some other interesting information.
For '66 and '67 the Lemans 4 door only came as a hardtop (no post) with a sunken back window similar to 66-7 GTO/Lemans 2 door. The Tempest 4 door only came as a post 4 door with a more convex back window like a 64-5 GTO/Lemans back window. I enjoyed a '67 Lemans 4 door hardtop OHC6 for several years of daily driving in the late 90's. It had tilt wheel, rally gauges, a/c, ps, pb, rally 1 wheels. It was not a Sprint, and is possibly the slowest car I ever owned. |

okay. off the subject have you noticed that the 66-67 Chevelle's had two styles of back window? a "sunken" one like our cars and one that was not, that just was flush with the sides of the top. funny looking seeing one for the first time wondering "what the hell"

My first Pontiac was a '66 Tempest 4-door. It was mariner green with a white hard top. It looked very aggresive. "Sigh" I sure do miss that car.

The 300 was the bottom of the line chevelle.
