Does anyone know if the 12 bolt rear axle used on the 70 GTO's that had 455's were always the C-type with the horizontal scallop in the cover?
Thanks.

I don't know if they all were, but mine is (was). And it is the original 12 bolt (code wt) that belongs with my documented 455 car. I have now installed c-clip eliminators for safety - better safe than sorry!

They were all Chevelle 12-bolts, so they all had C-clips and scallops. Not an Olds-type, if that's what you mean.
