I have a 74 ventura. Just changed transmission from a th350 to a th400. I need a u joint that will go from the th400 yoke to my driveshaft. If anyone knows the part number of one that will work. It would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
BTW my stock driveshaft has the locks on the ends of the caps, and the th400 yoke has the clips that lock on the inner part of the cap. If that makes any sense

The one I use is a Spicer 5-3022X.
Has the 2 different size caps.

Or try:
Napa PN 372
Precision 372
Neapco 3-3130
Spicer/Dana 5-3022X
RDL K3022
TRW 20229
Alloy 1699
AEC 356
Borg Warner 114-9HP

If I remember right the 2-3022 is a cross between a 2-3011 (internal clips) and a 2-0153 (external snap rings. This should be the joint you need and any good parts store should have it on the shelf.

Moroso makes a jint that will do what you need! I don't remember the part # though, it is a solid joint (no grease fitting) for greater strength! Any good speed shop should be able to hook you up! I found my shaft was too long when I did this swap, hope yours will fit!

Do you have any measurements. Best way would be to stop by a drive shaft shop they will set you up.

I had to check #'s at my shop but it seems johnta1 covered the part #s pretty good before I could get back on line. I would stay away from the solid U-joint , let it be the weak spot in the power train , rather than breaking a yoak or axle. Don't forget the Driveshaft loop...

th350 yokes use smaller U-joints than the th400. There is a U-Joint out there that has 2 ends that are large for the th400 and two ends that are small that will fit your driveshaft, but I don't know the part number. If you can't find it, you'll have to get the shaft modified for the larger joint. My advice would be to go even larger to a 1350 series joint.
