Anyone have a really good digital picture of a 70 Orbit Orange Judge? Prefer to be a large one so I can give it a good looking-over. Email to [email protected]

HPP Feb. 2002 (p.37). An article on a 70 RA IV Judge. It's in a side bar of 70 Judge facts. Some got them, some didn't. Just as some had the front spoiler some did not.
I know that everything you read is not necessarily fact, but these guys are pretty knowledgeable.
My 70 is a non Judge. It has no stainless on the valance, with no sign of there ever being any.

I've got a late September Judge built in Arlington that came with the valence trim but no spoiler. It's unmolested in all respects.

gtome, it will have holes drilled in the front valance (I believe 5, but I'd have to check) to mount the front spoiler.

Here is a factory promo pic. It looks like it has the chrome on the valance and no chin spoiler. I never noticed before, I guess I was always looking at the hood ornament.

I own a 1970 Judge, built April 8 1970, Oshawa, On. I have all of the paper work from General Motors of Canada Limited. Some of the options that you are talking about are B93 Door Edge Guards, D80 Auxiliary panel & Valance (Spoiler), Y 86 Decor Group, and WT1 Judge Option. I added the chrome trim on the valance of mine, and the chin spoiler. But I have to say that the holes where there for them. Have many more option codes on my car if wanted.

Nice cars but they shouldn't have chrome trim on the front valance.

Gordon,
Did your Judge come with a front spoiler? I'm restoring my OO Oshawa Judge now & may bug you from time to time for info if you don't mind. Any other Canadian built quirks that you can think of will help.
Thanks,
Steve

Thanks alot for the pics!! I started a list of everything needed to restore the car last night, now I need to go shopping. I think everything I need is reproduced except new fenders. Most of it will be new interior stuff (looks like a family of mice made it there home for a while). I have the sandlewood interior, anyone know where/how to get the headrests restored, it may be possible to paint/dye them, but I would rather use new material that will match the new seatcovers I get. On that note, where is the best place to get seat covers, carpet....etc??

DECOR GROUP consists of code #471 Deluxe Wheel Covers and #694 Wheel opening Moldings.
The front valance crome is not mentioned anywhere as an option, so if they´re not there they are missing.
Of course someone at the line could have missed to mount them

Factory Promo brochures/ads can also be wrong as they are sometimes made before Production...Remember the 69 Judge with wrong stripes on the dealer brochure?

Mike C.., do you have any proof to what you're saying? Where was the car assembled, the one with the chrome pieces up front?

I just went out and looked, and mine has the chrome. I spent part of the day yesterday, tearing the Judge apart, looks like the floor and trunk are very solid. Next I am pulling the dash to send to Just dashes. May send them my headrests too.
