fuel line conversion for a sbc to pont swap
If I switch from a stock 305 sbc to a pont 400
what is the best way to handle having the fuel pump on the opposite side of the engine block: 1 run a line from the old steel feed line under the oil pan. 2.run a whole new line specific for the pont or is there a different idea? It's for an 86 Gp Thanks |

Thanks
sounds like the easiest route is the best. I hadn't thought of mounting right to the pan but makes since. instead of on the frame rail. |

I just did this on my 67 Bird. Go to Autozone and buy a 3 foot length of 3/8" steel brake tubing. Buy a tubing bender (also at Autozone) for about 12 dollars. Get a coat hanger and get under the car. Bend the coat hanger to the right size/shape/bends that you need. Then bend the new tube with the bender and install. All you'll need is a small it of rubber hose to connect to the other lines. Works like a champ!
