Default fed ex problem, has anyone had similar pro

well, i just bought powert windows from ebay and it was supposed to get delivered on the 16 of this month. its been 8 days and they have done nothing to help me. i keep calling and they keep telling me to try tommorow because it is still being looked for.(run-around).funny part is that they claims its been delivered in front of my house, next to flowers. what flower? i have none. my girl and sister claim they saw fed ex truck drop off something at one of the houses in our block, which i believe. they have flowers in front of their house and their adress is only one number off. i ask and nothing, but by their respond they seem to have it and wont give it to me. so im really mad. i dont know what to do, they have a claim form but ones they review it they will decided if i get my money back. very upset

Tell it to the police and see if they can help.Maybe they can talk to them and say the FedEx guys says he dropped them at that house and they KNOW the stuff is here!.May scare them enough to give it up.

FedEx is responsible unless the sender GAVE them the wrong address.

They delivered to the wrong house. Their flower comment gives you power.

It depends how the sender filled out the waybill. If they checked the box that allows FedEx to drop it off without getting a signature then FedEx can just drop and run. If they didn't then FeEx is required to get a signature when they deliver it.

I had a part coming by Fedex, and they had delivered it to someone else, and had given me her item. I called them and they went and picked up the stuff, and got it squared away the next day. Fedex does have a habit of telling lies though....I've tracked items, and it would show up as "cannot find address", after delivering dozens of packages to my address (in a subdivision). I am on the end of thier run in the evening, and the driver simply blows me off to get finished with his run, and I wind up waiting another day or two. I've complained to no avail.

Yes, but they are still required to take it to the correct address.

I shipped 2 nos valance panels for a 70 at the same time. One never showed as ever leaving the drop off station. I went back and talked to the people working there and they wouldn't even walk around and look for them to see if they were still there. Worked out they paid more in insurance than what I sold it for. Luckily I had another to send to the guy, that one went ups.

All FedEx employees have the power to refund your money I called them once and told them I had a foot step in the middle of my package and they said "I'm sorry there is nothing I can do about your package but I certainly refund your money" and so they did. Believe me if you want just ask to speak to a supervisor.

fedex sucks as a whole, I have had nothing but problems with them, I won't even buy anything from anyone if they ship via fedex. I have only had one problem with ups in 20 years and they took care of it.

I've actually had very good luck with Fed-Ex and find their Ground rates to be very reasonable for large parts.

Fedex has pulled the "could not find address" thing on me quite a few times. It seems that if the delivery is late in the day this happens, and I figure they are just blowing it off. I live in a subdivision, and they seem to find me with no problems most of the time, unless it's late in the day. When this happens, it's another two days or so until it's rescheduled and delivered. I've had the best service with UPS, and USPS (priority mail) hasn't been bad either.

FED Ex established a new policy last year for residential deliveries..that being, signatures are not required on items less than $100 unless specifically required and indicated by the sender in their "options" page. I always select this option.
