Default Shipping cost, beware.

Beware if you get a quote shipping an engine, make sure you get a faxed copy. Got my "verbal" quote with quote number from Southeastern to ship to Kens, I told them up front, full value insurance, need a lift gate delivery. Got my bill today and it was $120 higher than quoted. Seems they "forgot" to add the ins and lift to the original quote. So I'm SOL, I would have delivered it, met Ken and seen his shop had I gotten that price quoted.

Beware of Bax Global. We had 2 engines damaged and they never paid on one. One damage EACH WAY!!!!!! We ate that one.
The other is a story I will tell my grandkids as far as how the damage occurred and the story changed 3 times. Don't know if I could print it here. Never again with them.

I just want everyone to know this has nothing to do with Kens, it's a problem with Southeastern Freight Lines.

I'm still waiting to hear back from Southeastern. I have a copy of my quote now, on it it states, "This estimate is based on information given" We gave them size, wt, insurance, gate etc...
On the quote is has a freight charge price and a fuel surcharge. I assumed (wrongly it seems) that the freight charge included Ins and gate. Apparently it would have been listed seperate like my bill was. Ok, how am I supposed to know that? I asked for a quote, gave them the info they asked for, got the quote and ok'd the shipment based on the quote.

Ken, give me a call asap when you're ready to start on the engine so we can talk about it first. I'm really looking forward to this build.
