Looks like Lonnie took good care of his Cat. I wonder though, exactly how was he placed in his car?

I remember several years ago a similar story of a lady being buried in her Corvair, but they had to remove the interior to make room for a casket.

If it was an SD-455 T/A, the family would have sold it, not buried it.

Unless they removed the fuel tank, fuel system, cooling system, a/c & anything with oil in it I'm surprised the EPA didn't step in. They still might & fine his heirs I guess!

I salute ya Lonnie..... R.I.P. And enjoy that Catalina and your guns for eternity, you deserve that much. It's proof you can take it with ya.

That's how I want to go to that big Cruise Night in the sky. With my hands on the steering wheel and shifter. That's going out in style. Plus there's no arguements on who is going to get it for nothing.

Years ago I heard of a lady being buried in her Cadillac, in a red neglige.

Maybe his heirs can make a claim under cash for clunkers deal and get $4500 for removing an evil, gas guzzler from the road? Plus the guns too? The whole deal should make the tree-huggers, greenie-weenies, and the libs happy.

I've always told the old lady that I want to be buried in my Pontiac. But I don't want the car buried.
Cremate me, stick the ashes in the Glove box and lets go cruising!
