Good afternoon guys. Been a long time since I was here and after having a custom radiator made for the 63 lemans which has a .040 over 326, had to report the findings. I supplied a sketch of the radiator with all measurements and they worked from that. As you know, the radiator in this car is not easy to find a replacement for that actually fits. In this case, we removed the bottom support brackets, made new ones and bolted her in. What a difference. I can now drive miles before needing to even turn the fans on and that's saying something. On the highway, doing about 70, I can leave the fans off and it will stay at 170. With the stock radiator, I couldn't make it six miles before reaching 210. We are at 6000' elevation and let me tell you that's no picinic when the compounding fact of 20% humidity is factored in. Without the humidity, it's harder to cool the motor as water takes away far more heat than air. And quicker...

The company is wizard cooling. They can be found at www.wizardcooling.com. I dealt with Cory and it was definitely worth the money. Ordering another radiator from them now for a bel air. In this case, I got what I paid for- a one-off custom radiator that made a huge difference. Last edited by 63-V326; 02-14-2010 at 07:47 PM. |

Thats a great looking setup!! What fan system are you using?? Are both fans running at the same time or on 2 different switches or are you using a fan conrtoller?? The last electric system I put in, I had 2 different temp switches. Each switch ran a different fan. One was a 185* switch & the other was a 210*. I also wired in lamps on the dash that would come on when a cooling fan was on.
Here is a thread that shows the different 4 bolt water pumps. The 4 cylinder pump looks allmost the same as the V8 pump. Just want to make sure you have the correct 4 bolt pump. http://forums.maxperformanceinc.com/...d.php?t=603327
