Default Pontiac Museum to open Saturday, July 23, 2011

Where else would you think it would be?? Pontiac Illinois!!

Our club (The Cruisin' Tigers GTO Club) were invited to be part of the initial planning of this museum. We we're invited by Tim Dye. Members from our club made the trip down south and from what I understand, this is going to be quite a permanat display.

Upon the grand opening, we will soon be promoting a car show to flood the city with Pontiacs. This should be pretty cool. When we get closer, Ill start a thread in the show section with info.

See a link on our club website with pics.

Keep us updated when next summer rolls around, and I'll be there in the goat. I would love to see an event like this.

as happy as i am for tim, i also am dissapointed in the fact that i am going to lose the closeness (is that a word?) of a good friend who i have enjoyed visiting his house/museum and company for the last nearly 30 years.

you guys in the area really dont know what a gift you are getting with tim and penny moving to your area.

this is a literal dream come true for tim and i urge everyone up there to pitch in and help him anyway that you can. i promise it will come back ten fold to you in enjoyment of the hobby.

Hes got full support from our club. The members who drove down to meet Tim and the rest of the group from Pontiac are very excited about this idea. Quit franly, I am too.

When it opens, we get the place full of Pontiacs for a day. I promise you that.

About 6 years ago, we did a show down there called Pontiacs in Pontiac. We had several caravans heading down and brought a couple of hundered cars. It was a lot of fun. Since then we have grown ten times over and have the resrouces to help and support Tim.

That's just about an hour from the homestead. Looking forward to it!
