Yep... was not impressed that the guy that nailed Horton was allowed to skate off under his own stream...Oh ya.... give him a couple of days off and a $10. fine LOL. Seems the Bruins loose a player a playoff like that...Thats hockey ? Oh ya, new school hockey...
But glad the Bruins won....

I do believe your right! After all the NHL is on your side as they want the cup to go North. But I sure an hell would not be too proud of a team that plays like that...That team has added a whole new meaning to goons
Its too bad as they are a "fair" team...just as the Bruins are...

Vancouver has hardly been challenged since their monumental choke job in round one against Chicago. And that series ended on a give-a-way goal in OT.

I hope Boston can turn the series around and win it all. Hate to see the Cup go to a team that goons it up on the ice and has fans in the stands in green body suits standing on their heads.......

any body but Vancouver...I laughed last night ....I'm sure there are not enough paper bags in that city to go around...2 for each...one to puke into and the other to hide their heads....Its good to see the Bruins there...I'm sure that Orr, Cherry and quite a few others have the big grin going

I'm from New England and love the B's. I was 11 when they won the cup. But after games 1&2 I was wondering if the B's had what it takes. In the 3rd periods, they looked very tired. Somehow, they found the juice last night. This B's team has a great goalie and a ton of heart. If they go all the way, it WILL be because of desire to win and hard work. They're scrapping.

Right Mikey?

Have to admit the Bruins did hack away at Canucks more than the Canucks hacked back, LOL. Dam U even have your Goalie hackin at Canuck players with no penalties. I still think the Ref's suck, how do u slu foot someone right in front of the ref and get away with it? But now we have a 3 game series so may the best team win. Is it a home ice advantage?? I guess we will see on Friday. Hope we can pee on some of the bruins fans like the bruins did to the canucks fans in Boston.

NBC/NHL are hoping for 7 games as the drama builds...Refs did't decide game 4, great plays and saves did...

The sardines need to man up for the 'nucks to earn cup!

I think the biggest issue for me is.. the fact that the refereeing is always inconsistent!
It doesn't seem to matter at what level either. My son grew up playing competitive hockey.. and it never failed.. from game to game, and year to year.. referees always made controversial calls, none of them ever consistent and if ever questioned, they either, always had an answer and if they didn't, they'd hand out a bench penalty for arguing with the referee.
The NHL is no different. I think the reason you saw Boston throw some more dirty work out there last nite... is because Vancouver has been doing it and been getting away with it so why shouldn't Boston?
Now.. probably in the next game.. with a new set of Ref's.... they'll call every little thing and totally confuse everybody!!!!

It's a great series to watch though.... and the next couple of games should be intense and fun to watch!

enjoy everybody.. no matter who you're cheering for.

take care
NB

Bruins MUST win tomorrow night. It is an absolute must win for them. Vancouver will be defeated mentally if they have to come back to Boston down 2-3

Default Canadian vs European Hockey

The secret lies in the style of Hockey played. What was once coined Canadian style should be more North American style. Tough gritty and move it along the boards. The first 2 games were European (fast break outs and very little contact). 3rd game Marchand totally psyched out the Sedins. Constantly rubbing them and always making them aware that they were only a stride from them and willing to take them out to keep them off the puck. I thought Vancouver could win series by playing their game and taking the pounding. But it appears the Europeans will fold up and go home as they usually do. I could see it in the eyes of the Sedin brothers that they aren't tournament tough. On the replays they were closing their eyes and going into a defensive posture when mixing things up in front of the net. I've personally seen sticks broke over guys faces and jaws and they set their eyes and furrow their brow and right then you know you have a guy with the heart of a warrior. Looks to me the cup will be residing in Beantown unless the swedes can grow a set of nads (gonads!!!)

The Leaf's will win a cup when Elvis laces up the blades with Ballard back holding his stick......I was 9 years old and Canada turned 100 the last time those clowns won...I am 53 now

Default Refs

Refs can definitely ruin the game either way. The officials took some heat all year long with penalty calls. Call it too tight and it kills momentum, too loose and all hell breaks loose. When I played back in the 70-80s and won all Ontario championships the Horton hit was nothing spectacular. In fact if you didn't " finish your check" you would have hemmorhoids from sitting on the bench. Kinda ironic but my 12 yr old plays peewee rep and the AAA coaches are saying that the kids have to be tougher and hit harder. LOL
