Default SCCA TRANS AM

Just saw the article, in HPP, about Doug Hunts red '72 T/A. Is Doug a member here?

I don't know if he is a member or not but Pontiac should have made red a regular production option for the T/A. Looks awesome with the stripe!

I agree... They could have had a red, white and blue patriotic trio.

Pontiac paid the SCCA $5 dollars PER car ( '69-2002) to use the T/A name on the car..

The Pontiac Trans/Am IS the RPO for the SCCA >> RPO WS4 Each Trans am was built as a semi SCCA race car. The Z-28 was Camaros SCCA race car. RPO Z-28

Decal option is, or was a possibility

I liked the way the SCCA car looked enough to spend the last 3-4 years building a tribute:

Franke/Fomula8, can you advise who made the decals for the bird & the stripe? I was thinking of a similar look - nice to see the finished product. Ive seen one other thread on this the red & white TA theme

Funny you should mention that I'm in the middle of getting lettering for Formula8. The stripes are from blue car. The lettering is custom cause blue car lettering has blue in it. If you look in the article about SCCA T/A in mag they have a close up of their lettering and it's blue.
I will up load a pic. Steve you stuff is definitely in the works.

Greg (165th) is making custom stripes. Check out this thread:

I had the pleasure of meeting him in San Antonio a couple of weeks back, and he doesn't cut any corners!

Cheers,
Tim.
