Is putting a 454 worth putting in a 69 firebird?

I have WZ400 4sp car,but the 400 is gone. It now has a pontiac 350 from a 68 bird. I was only wondering if it was doable because I seen a 454 for $200.00 on CL

Anything is doable, whether it should be is another story entirely.
If it's a real 454 it's probably a beat up truck motor and not worth the time & effort involved. I bet you could find another Pontiac motor that would be cheap enough and far easier to get in there.

True. After I thought about the 454. I decided its not worth it to go to all that trouble.

the previous owner of my 68 put a 454 in there, and he hacked up the subframe and the firewall due to fitment issues (Im assuming)
Its definitely doable, but it would be a PAIN unless you find a Camaro that has rear end damage and can take the subframe
