Default My A/C vents don't blow hard

I'm staring to drive my 69 again. It runs and drives good but its 98 degrees here in Alabama. My a/c works but it doesn't blow very hard out of the vents. It's not nearly enough to get the car comfortable. Would that be a squirrel cage issue?? I scanned back 2 years here and couldn't find a thread on it.
Thanks

Sounds like it may be the high speed relay on the firewall.

Yes it is hot down here in AL

Jimmy, these cars never had much of a blower compared to
a late model car. High speed on my car has always felt like low on a modern car
ever since I bought mine in 1972. If you have all your speeds then there isn't
anything you can do to make it blow harder. I agree the blower sucks on these cars.

Well thanks. I have all my speeds and its full of freon. I guess I just have to learn to live with it.

Make sure your ductwork joints are sealed so you aren't losing any air under the dash. I have also read on here of a fan with a different style cage that moves more air.
Finally, if your insulation on the firewall is not the best, and isn't sealing all the heat from the engine compartment, that might be another situation to look at.

If the evaporator core is not dirty and no leaks in the ducts then it is from the large size ducts that have a lot of air volumn that causes lower blower motor air pressure.

Just thinking aloud here. I wonder if artificially reducing the duct volume/size would bump up the pressure?
