Default 3 speed toploader linkage

I'm working on a 68 GTO with 3 speed toploader. Which end of the linkage rod goes to the shifter? The end with the adjustment nuts or the end with no adjustment. Can some one post a picture? Thanks

The adjustment nut goes to the shifter.
