Default Clutch safety switch adjustment...

My '69 has a problem where it doesn't want to start with the clutch fully depressed anymore. I can reach down and push the clutch safety switch just 1/4" further and it will start fine. Great theft deterrent, but kind of annoying as I'm sure one day it will leave me stranded or I'll jumper it to bypass it and have a blonde moment and end up wrecking the car during start-up. Is there any adjustment between the clutch and this switch? Looking at the pictures it appears that there is only 2 screws holding it in securely with no movement and there aren't any obvious adjustments for the switch like with the automatic neutral safety or a brake light switch.

Picture of clutch and switch:

Or is something worn out\broken\missing? Just give the switch arm a little bend forward? I hate doing that sort of thing if it will result in weakening and breaking the switch, they don't seem to be reproduced.

Maybe the bracket that holds the switch got bent and needs to be reshaped for the switch to work properly.

The bracket that holds it seems pretty solid, so I'm not sure. I was hoping I wasn't the only one who has had this problem but it seems I am!
