I am finishing up body mods for my 69 firebird track/street car and am looking for a front spoiler that will fit. The project came with a a new front spoiler and brackets for a 69 camaro, but it looks way off on fitment and I don't think it will work. My car also has the lower rad baffle installed as well. I looked into Spoilersby randy, but didn't know if there was an ABS plastic OEM spoiler that will work. The car will spend a lot of time on the road course.

I have this one on my 69 'bird
http://www.classicindustries.com/pro...rts/*r371.html There is a place that makes a wanna-be road racing metal version, but it was hardly any lower than this one. I'm still looking for a true old school Trans Am race series style lower front air damn that looks like a read old school race car part.

I have the classic industries piece myself but it's not on the car as it doesn't fit the valance without modifications.
www.spoilersbyrandy.com has a '69 Firebird specific spoiler with a cutout in it, but considering it's size I doubt it does much in the way of actual aerodynamics. Did you just recently acquire this car? I followed it's build on pro-touring.com and looks like a very quality piece. At any rate, I think modification for a camaro spoiler is probably in order. Myself I will probably go the factory camaro spoiler and modify some side skirting to fill in the blanks, ala Big Red Camaro.

The 69 Firebird came with a lower baffle on the a/c cars, 400 cars and on the 350 ho cars. It's hard to find a metal one. The 69 T/A has a plastic extension on it that runs the length of the baffle. That was screwed on... the 69 baffle only fits 69 cars...

I bought the car in August of '09...its been a long road with several changes in direction! I am currently working on modifying the inner front fenders and outer fender lips to clear the 275 R888s. I have an OER spoiler that is labeled for a '69 Camaro, but there is no way it will fit the lower front valance without significant modifications. I have thought about just building my own.

Mine lines up with preexisting holes for mounting the air damn to attach, BUT the additional reinforcement rods they include with it correspond to no where. so I just left them off.
