Don & Ron Gay will try and find some more info
Eddie Hill should've had enough motor to be in the sevens but with his 8.97@185 and Gartlits on the same page 9.36@189 its likely the tires kept them out of the sevens that year.
Arine has AA/FC record in '71 of 6.91 from Scott Misus's posted list; same thing on not much info past that.
While they're hasn't been a door car to break Advanced ET on motor, That should be broken this year or '06

Still dig up any info you can find and post it. We've definitely become better organized in recording history.

Mike,why not ask the reps to go to Norwalk and other Pontiac events to see how many Pontiacs are there?

If you go to a race with rules setup for mostly chevy or ford,that's what you'll likely find.

I think it's pretty obviuos that Ken isn't ignoring what was done over the years but he would like to see what HE will be up against this year. He has to step it up and also keep the shop running meaning his build and TNT time is somewhat limited.

I am not a regular poster but I wanted to add this to the fastest Pontiac list. My best friend here in Boise Idaho,Rod Page has a rear engine dragster, Pontiac powered of course, that needs to be on the list. His best run in 2004 was a 7.637et at 177.97 MPH on Sept 10 2004. Density altitude was 1132, humidity 54%,temp 71 deg, bar 29.95. The dragster is a mono shock soft tail. Engine is a 526 cubic inch IA1, wide port e heads, one dominator on a Victor manifold, The car and engine made over 160 passes with Rods son Sean driving the Pontiac to track champion for 2004, with no breaksge or failures. Our normal density altitude here in Boise at Firebird raceway is around 4500 feet where the car runs 7.80's at 173. Rod has been building my engines for over 20 years our friendship starting because of our love of all things Pontiac.
My burning question what is the quickest single four barrel naturally aspirated Pontiac I think Rod might be it?????????

Thanks Tom, I wasn't around when Marty was running well. Like I said Jeff had been the fastest Pontiac to race (not just show and tell) from the first tri-power at Norwalk and has all the Fastest Pontiac at Tri-power trophies until they decided to end the trophy give away. The way I understand it he was the fastest Pontiac Racer when I rolled in 1997 and while working together through 2001 no-one including Marty P and David B out ran the digger (even show and tell) while at the same track, Norwalk, Chicago, Maple Grove. I was there for all of the 97 to '01 domination.

I know that his first name is Mike and he is from right around the Norwalk area. I'm going to assume from your list his last name is Packo. Before he had the RED, in 2003 he had a street legal blown and injected green 67 Firebird.

Hey Rob,
There seems to be plenty of holes in your list. It seems you have forgot many of the guys who ran Pontiac power in the past except for Arnie Beswick.
Since you are doing an "all time" thing as opposed to something current. Here are many that you have left out.
* How about that Vega flop that was Pontiac powered by Raymond Walker? It was featured in Super Stock in the mid to late 70s. The article claimed it to be a 200 mph car. I don't remember Ets for it.
* What about Jerry Stienbrick? Didn't he run 8's (maybe 7s?) in the 80s on that parts cleaner stuff (gas)?
* What about Don and Roy Gay? They were running in the 7s with 421 power by 1967 (Firebird flopper OCIR manufactures meet) and they ran Pontiac power through 1968 at least and I think some in '69 before switching over to a 426. I am sure they had 2 or 3 cars that would make this list including the '66 GTO, '67 Bird and '69 GTO.
* What about Eddie Hills 202 pass at Hobbs, Nm on May 6, 1962 with his Pontiac twin (OK I see you mentioned it but, apparantely you are unsure)? Not to mention that fact he later ran single engine Pontiacs later on Nitro and into about '65. He had to run well into the 7s by that time. He could have had 1-3 cars that should be on your list.
* What about that Chapman Automotive V powered injected nitro burning '69 Judge flopper? I think it ran very low 8s.
* What about Beswicks '69 Super Judge flopper? I am sure in ran mid to low sevens. Arnie has to have at least 2 additional cars that are not on yor list ('69 Super Judge and '68 GTO both were floppers).
*Another possibility is the Royal sponsored injected V powered niitro burning Trans Am flopper (unsure of times).
* How about Jess Tyree? He ran blown 421 nitro floppers into 1968. He has to have some 7 second time slips.
That is 6-10 or so more that have been over looked. Many on your "all time list" will get bumped way down after you include everybody. I am curious as to why you have excluded these cars? If anyone thinks they will bethe top 10 or 15 on carbs and gas n/a forget it now and forever.

Also, I have documention that Arnie ran the 6.94. He told me he did and i got it in writing with the picture of the car. It is his signature. If he didn't do it, he is a liar. who is to question? on the other hand, it does seems a bit fast for the day but, it is possible he could have done that and I accept him at his word.
