The big GTO just keeps getting quicker. Friday he put in a big nitrous tune up, at about the 1000 foot mark, it skipped, then had an exhaust backfire that was strong enough that it sheared the bolts off that hold the exhaust pipes to the collectors. and still ran 10.24!!!
Had a 1.37 60ft. and a 6.24 1/8 mile! That, my freinds, is a 9 second street legal, all steel car. Pretty cool, huh?

Mike, don't take it personally. It's the ol' definition of a street car/street legal/race car argument. I'm sure your car is beutiful and what most would want to have in our garages. Didn't mean to diss you.

Doug, Mike's GTO is 100% a streetcar. I've seen it many times, it's a true showcar.

David, I just find it so hard to believe there are 700-900 hp Pontiacs running around the streets of Anytown USA. It must come from the fact that all the Pontiacs we had up here came with Chebbies in them.

Doug- many people on this board have seen it- it is all steel, 3820lbs with driver, FULL factory interior with original buckets, heater, AM radio, Stock suspension, street tires and mufflers and will run on pump gas, non-roller, 433cid. This car is driven on the street regularly. these times were with a 210hp shot of N2O.

Mike, I can tell by the reaction to my comments that what you have is real. Congradulations on your car and what you have done with it. SO if it's on pump gas then it's 101/2-11:1 with eheads, solid cam, 4.xx gears? Care to share your secrets so I can plan my next build.

Mikes car is the real deal. Fast and beautiful! Mike, when did you change from the T-2? Any fit(hood clearance) problems with the Victor? Are you running a filter? Looking for options on my next up-grade. Thanks-Jim

Jim- no clearance problems with the Victor, 1/2 N2O plate and a 2 3/4 filter with a 2" drop base. The Victor is about .05 quicker than the TII.
