I believe my knocking sound is a cracked flywheel on my 65 389. I found a guy with a flywheel off a 78 trans am for $20. Will this work on my car?? thanks, greg

Supposed to fit but 2 different sized flanges on 75 up flywheels so make sure yours is the same as his.

It most likely won't fit.
Early cranks have the big flange on the crank. You can try and see if the opening is the same on the flywheel as the Crank. Later flywheels have the small opening. If it does not work I do have the Early flywheels. However, They are not 25 bucks. Usually I'm found working on my Pontiac. If you want to find me Look for the white picket fence and all the old Pontiacs parked outside. And the half dissembled engine sprawled all over the driveway!
