Pontiac - Street No question too basic here!

When the block and heads on Pontiac engines are milled correct pushrod length becomes a question. Various length pushrods are available, but why not shim the rocker arm stud "up" the same thickness as the head went "down"? If you lost .060" through macining wouldn't a .060" shim or washer under each rocker stud restore the original geometery? The effort is to not have adjustable rockers but a stock setup. Thanks.........

More shimming = More Flex = More parts breakage.

Fist fulla bullets and a chest fulla teflon....
