One thing to think about clutches and hydraulic throwout bearings. Clavert himself uses an adjustable centrifical assist clutchto slip some at the line and then grab better, how he runs so fast in SS on a 9" tire.
Also McCleod has a hydraulic throw out bearing I think you can adjust somewhat too.

It is called experience. You don't get it without an investment in time and energy.

I'm over 3800 lbs. race weight and although I run an automatic, my Cal-Trac's are working ok.
1.46 60' time thus far and haven't started tuning them to find the "sweet spot" yet.

SDBoB.
Good point but. My old set up with SSM bars and I did that with moving up the hole about 10 years ago. But won't work with the Cal Tracs as the pivot point unit won't fit. I had forgotten that I welded up the old hole and moved the hole higher. I was cussin those bars out and throwin a Dude Tandrum, LOL. Then I looked at the clearances and then wack, it hit me. Got another set of front spring cups and good to go. ************************************************** *************************** Owner of......The Quickest Pontiac Powered "REAL" Street car on the PLANET!!!!Will Race for Food.
