My brother recently went trough his 75' TA and rebuilt the T-10 tranny, rebuilt the engine, and geared the rear from a 3.23 to a 4.11. When putting the tranny back together he realized that he would need a new speedo gear with the change in rear gears. He called up the local dealer and they can't tell him anything so he's on his own. I know a lot of you guys out there have done things like this and might know which speedo gear he needs to use, any help would be great, thanks.

This is a bit off-topic, but easier to find later for reference.

I have a Muncie and would like to replace the steel speedo drive gear with a nylon one from an automatic.

It fits the shaft and there is even a hole for the clip to fit into.

Anyone ever done this or know a reason why it wouldn't work??? I am swapping 8 tooth gear for 8 tooth gear.
