I remember that book. It's a good one. Boy back when I first got into this stuff that was THE man to talk to about TA suspensions. Herb Adams was also MEAN on the horn too. Him and the Tijuana Brass were great! Am I getting him mixed up with someone else?

That's cool you got to talk to him shaker455. You know who else is great to talk to and always VERY helpful is Nunzi. If you ever have any questions if he doesn't know he knows who does. He's been a great help to me.

Herb Adams=Suspension guru
I have his suspension book, and I take it with a grain of salt at least for street use. Didn't know he had an earlier book. Do you have the ISBN for the Camaro/Firebird book? Herb Alpert=Tiajuana Brass http://www.tijuanabrass.com/ |

I know his bars were solid and super strong. You would have more problems keeping the brackets attached to the frame than with his bars. And you can tell when you pop a bolt head off a bracket bolt half way though corner too !!!

Hi Shaker,
I would like to get a copy as well. I believe this book has been out of print for a long time. Let me know if you can scan it or I am willing to pay for the mail/copying (I', in Canada). I actually talked to Mr Adams back in the early 90s about getting my TA setup for autocrossing. He was very helpful and a bit amusing as well. Let me know about the book.

i used his methods 20yrs ago, it works. he did more experimenting on 1st & 2nd gen birds then anyone else while still working for GM. campained himself & helped build race cars for alot of people on the side. used to be all we had was him, NUNZI & H.O.RACING. these greats carried us older guys through the dark ages when all there was chevy-ford-dodge aftermarket parts, and not much info. availible to us regular blue collars. thanks you guys.
