Met with the manufacturer today. Things are moving along and it looks to be "price friendly" for us Pontiyakers.

Quotes:
"I like the "Tomohawk" or "Tomahawk" not sure how its spelled intake manifold. Apache would work too. According to many, the Street Dominator is/was the best flowing street manifold ever produced. Rodney Butler ran a modified Street Dominator on his 9 sec "street" car with a spray bar built into the plenum. Much of the new intake is being based upon the Street Dominator with many improvements like the removal of the heat riser/egr passage to keep the air charge cool...and of course larger runners that flow big numbers." Hey Dave! I know a guy who used to work for Holley, who now works for Ford Engineering, who worked on that intake. He also worked on the Pro Dominator Tunnel Ram Intake. A lot of dyno time was used to make the Street Dominator intake BETTER than any factory Ram Air 4 intake by several percent. I agree that it would be nice to have a lower profile, BIG runner intake that you could use with a blower carb set-up. Ken, You want to try a Torquer 1 intake with all rear runners I had built on Lady Dudes car at Norwalk this year? Tom V.

Dave makes a good point about the single plane intakes...
At 3500 rpm my Modified Holly Street Dominator intake makes 15 pounds less torque on the dyno than my modified Performer RPM intake. By 4500 rpm they make the same. Of interest, my Victor intake makes only 4 ft.lbs. less torque than the Performer RPM intake at 3500 rpm but will produce a easy 20 more hp than the RPM.

"I would be interested in the New Manifold for my Super Stocker. If or when they come out will everyone be notified?" Mr. Kennedy, I have followed your racing for several years now. I had a double rear runner Torquer 1 created like yours some years ago. I was wondering if you could post your results with that "created" intake. Thanks in advance. Tom V.

It would pretty much have to be a single plane design. What about a 4150 base?

Yes the manifold had better velocity! It made 11 more hp than the Performer RPM and required 2 less jet in the front AND back. Hence our manifold has a better signal! Probably due to the fact the runners are so short!
Just siiting here waiting for our first prototype back from the factory! As soon as we get it we will throw it back on the SAME engine to see if it does the same! If not we have to modify it and send it back so they can do the adjustments to the molds! Believe me as soon as I get it the WORLD will know!! LOL!! As soon as we get the prototype and ok it. We will be taking down $50 deposits to hold a manifold for whoever wants one! Be Cool, Ace PS---new website should be ready in about a week with NEW parts and online ordering! :-)

Just heard that our manifold project is first in line. Our manufacturing partner is on his way back from overseas. We should have more on a timeline to report next week when he is back.

Also if it was 3/4" shorter carb pad than a stock intake I could run the ATI Procharger hat with my stock formula hood. Now that would be cool.

Pacific Performance Racing is in the process of putting up an entirely new website that will provide an online store.
There will also be a section on new products and the manifold. People will be able to sign in to be advised on the release of the product. Ken and I were at the supplier/vendor just the other day. The supplier's high hope is 5-6 months. As soon as we get a "first article" sample everyone will know...

You don't always need a dual plane manifold for low end power. Just ask some of the guys running Street Dominators and Doug Nash manifold.
On a street 455 w/ 9.25:1 we just built for project Greenbird we have over 500 ft lbs of torque from 2900 to 5100 and that is with a Holley Street Dominator.
