I was just curious im going to buy a 70 400 block only one i can find around here i drive a 74 pontiac firbird formula 400 and i was just curious as to the stats on the block if there is an improvement in horse power from that year on that block .. and also would i have any problems installing it on my 74 formula 400 im rebuilding my 74 400 block and i wana have this on to use ot drive my car still with .. also if any one knows any one other then atk that rebuilds 400 blocks please post wehre

any way thx i posted this here in the 70s to 73s because of the 71970s 400 block i was going to buy figure best place for info !

There won't be any HP difference in the block.
It will bolt in with no problem.

The only thing that might be good is it could be a 4 bolt main depending on what it is.

Do you know the engine code on the 1970?
