I'm going to look at at a car this week for my wife so we can retire the stupid corporate-powered '95 formula. Also available are a set of "mildly ported" RAIII heads, intake, and factory-cast 3-tube headers... supposedly all cleaned, rebuilt, and ready to bolt on. The seller says they are from a '69 GTO.

My question is, what casting numbers should I look for on the heads and intake to verify the identity of the parts? Anything in particular to look out for? Are these worthless once they've been modified? Thanks, fellas!

The # 12s are for 1970 !969 use # 48 for man. trans and#16 or #62 for auto. As far as port work ruining the heads, depends on what was done and quality of work. Doug
