I'm going to look at at a car this week for my wife so we can retire the stupid corporate-powered '95 formula. Also available are a set of "mildly ported" RAIII heads, intake, and factory-cast 3-tube headers... supposedly all cleaned, rebuilt, and ready to bolt on. The seller says they are from a '69 GTO.
My question is, what casting numbers should I look for on the heads and intake to verify the identity of the parts? Anything in particular to look out for? Are these worthless once they've been modified? Thanks, fellas! |

The # 12s are for 1970 !969 use # 48 for man. trans and#16 or #62 for auto. As far as port work ruining the heads, depends on what was done and quality of work. Doug
