Today we got the Vintage Air unit hooked up, charged and running. So now there is a solid wall of cold air coming from the dash vents. I have nothing but good things to say about Vintage Air. Works as advertised.

Put a supercooler in my 70 GTO. Smoothed the firewall also to lose the factory air suitcase. Works great. Second best mod I have done next to the TKO 600.

Matrix.....Im also working on a 70 GTO. Also using the supercooler (GenII) with a smoothed firewall. Did the TKO-600 mod too. Only need to get the sound system in and it will be a real street car. Gonna put the new A/C to the test this week. Supposed to be 118 degrees tomorrow.

118 degrees? WOW! But that is dry heat. Here in DC it has been in the 90s for the last few days but the humidity is crazy. You can just sit in the shade and you are dripping sweat. Anyway, with the temp in the 90s and very high humidity my VA system cools the GTO off with no problem. I run it on high to initially cool it off and then turn it back to the second notch and Im good to go. Cools at least as good as my 96 Impala SS. What color is your car though? Mine is silver so the light color draws less heat. Hope your car isnt black.

matrix, no dry heat around here in july and aug most of Arizona has what they call monsoon season. 20-40% humiditty. be ok if it would rain but it is usually just damp. this week we get hot wet air from the gulf of mexico. Its still easier to take than what you guys have to deal with.
we think we are pretty cool down here in Tucson, usually 6-8ยบ cooler than Phoenix
