If you haven’t seen it yet, I have one of those H-O Racing Turbo Force kit and I know it will fit 75-78 Firebirds and TRANS-AMs. I figure that the 400 and 455 are pretty much the same externally that what this kit fits depends on the chassis or frame configuration. What years are the same as the 75-78 cars? Exhaust manifolds and accessories might also come into play here as well. I also posted this in the 77-81 section because the kit was purchased for a 76 with a 455 4-spd comb but says it will fit 75-78. Kit was also purchased in 1978!

The frames are basically the same.
I think the Turbo Force mentioned the 75-on because the the 75 and newed had only single exhaust.
It would have been more expensive to re-route or buy new exhaust system for the older cars.
If the older car had single exhaust it would bolt in like in the kit.
The exhaust manifolds are basically the same also.
