Ok, here's the scoop. This spring I decided to replace the floor pans in my 64 Tempest. I got the floors cut out and then the city cited me and told me I had to paint the garage. I spent a good month doing that. Back to the car. I have never welded before in my life, so between baseball games and family functions I was able to put this back together and painted the floor. I've stood in it, seems solid so I am happy. Here's the problem, I turned on the lights just to check them. I had no outside lights front or back and no brake lights. Only dome light and dash lights. I turned the key, it cranked, I pumped the gas, I turned the key again and it cranked 3 times and saw a spark from the battery. Now I have nothing. No lights, no nothing, Battery is still charged, pulled the starter it is working off a battery charger, no resistance problems in the wires to the starter, the ignition switch seems to work.
What happened? Is there a fusible link on these cars? I am lost. Help, Please.
