I have just finished changing my 350, TH-350 to a 455, TH-400. I took it out for it's first drive and the transmission will not shift into third gear. I checked fluid levels and all that I could think of and can't find anything wrong. I build the engine and a transmission shop built the transmission. Does anyone have any ideas ?

Did the tranny shop use the original valve body? Sounds like to me they did and did not clean the body out to good. The 2-3 valve might be sticking or it may be in a bind. Not to sure how to check that out without taking the valve body out.
