Hey JG,
What color is your GTO and what brand of paint?
My Aquamarine GTO need to be freshened up. I really like your color.
Thanks,

Always glad to help an Aussie out! And the later model mirrors bolt on without much hassle. I like the look ...

Thanks Mike, I purchased it on eBay 4 months ago and it was already painted. I went to buy a small touch up and the best match was: NG GM 440 by Duplicolor. I hope this helps..

Greg,
It's the original Mayfair Maize. It wasn't my first choice of color BUT the car was SOOO original I couldn't pass it up, Then when it came time to fresh'en it up I just had to go back with the original color, it sort of grows on ya!
Funny though, I have a '68 LeMans convert thats originally Primavera Beige,350 2 speed. Now blasted and will be done in some kind of Silver,
Not worried about originality with this one since there won't be one body panel or anything else for that matter that will be original.

My feelings about mine exactly! The first year or so I always thought I'd paint it black but that color really grew on me. Now, 20 years later, it's still one of my favorites, especially with a black interior.

Mr. 68 - Nice car I really like it's stance. Would you please share how you got it to sit that way? What springs, wheel sizes and tire sizes do you have?

Really appreciate you help!

I noticed the photos I posted to this thread are now gone so here is another. This was one last shot, before I started tearing it apart:

See if I can figure out how to do this.

This is my 68 convertible that I got when a sophmore in high school in fall of 73. We bought the car for $175. It only had 53000 miles, but had a rod knocking in it. Found a 400 from a 67 Catalina at local junkyard for $150 and put it in. Since then have put in 2 clutches, 2 sets tires, and a new top. Thats it, all original other than that.

We had a car cruise in home town last night and here are me letting my "little" brother take it out for a spin with is kid and some other fiends.
