I had my bumper re-chomed and having a little difficulty with the alignment along the front edge of the hood. The fenders are new and every thing has been apart for years. I have a different hood that I will be using but the front angle seems to be the same on both. The filler panel lines up nice with the bumper and the hood latches but it sure don't look right to me. Any ideas on how I've got this screwed up?

Looks like your bumper got sat on in the middle while setting on the ground pointing upwards. Maybe got reshaped at the chromers?

No way!!!
 That pic looks exactly like the bumper on my 67 (except your paint is much better) - slight forward droop, lines up ok at center but leaves too much gap on the sides, etc. I was wondering what I was going to do to reshape it and/or tweak the body panels to align. Short of a little careful persuasion/bump into a wooden pole or something similar, I don't know. I might just buy a repro (not too expensive, couple hundred $'s). Good question, I'd like to find out too."...ridge reamer and ring compressor? Do they have tools like that?"

The chrome shop said they had original patterns and would put it in spec if it needed it. I didn't ask if they did anything but I think they must have tweaked it.

Then take that thing back and let them align it. That way, it's properly fitted to the pattern, and if the chrome cracks, they can rechrome it again...
