Is the carb equipped replaceable air bleeds? They look like little jets that screw onto the top of the main body just behind the metering block and can be seen w/out taking anything apart on the carb. Some are the pressed in type, tese type I have never messed with, but the screw in type can be calibrated like regular jets. Maybe these need adjusting to allow more air to mix with the fuel at idle so that you don't have to crank up the idle screw too much and transition from idle circut to main circut causing the carb to dump access fuel also, or possibly the accel. pump need to be adj.
