I am installing a 428 into a 77 TA. Will my shaker match up correctly? I will be contacting Nunzi's for his set of mounts, so I am concerned that the offset might affect how the carb matches up with the shaker. Thanks!

if you are going from Pontiac engine to Pontiac engine it will be the same, unless you go with a aftermarket manifold like a Victor or RPM. They sit taller on the engine and you will have hood clearance problems. If you have a Old's 403, the hole offset for the carb and bottom can are differant and they take a differant scoop which sit's lower in the hood.

Happy New Year

I will be using a Performer RPM intake, and will be seeking one of the aftermarket kits to make it fit under the hood. (I also want to use a functional "flapper" on the intake of the scoop.) I was kinda concerned that the engine would be too far forward to allow the shaker to fit through the hole as it sits on the carb.

If you use the '77 or later scoop then the assembly I offer will work with the flapper kit you plan to use.
Don't worry about offset as the WFO assembly can be adjusted in any direction off-center up to 1".
I doubt that there will be any need for this.
