Yeah, I've seen a few of them. One of the members here has a green 421 '65 Cat 2dr post sedan. Cool cars if you ask me. I think production was kinda low with them.

Not a tough car to get parts for...really, I have one that looks almost identical to Jerry Hamiltons (see above pic). Doors, rear quarter windows, and some related interior parts would be the only unique parts for that car. Everything else is the same as a Cat 2D Hardtop. Oddly enough, until I found my car in 2000, I'd only seen one other in person, and only a couple for sale on the internet. Lately, I've been seeing more. Just in the last few months I know of 3 that have been for sale. There's a real clean maroon one for sale right now. It's at

http://adcache.collectorcartraderonl...2/67339722.htm

They are scarce though, only 9526 produced in 65. On the same site, there are 2 68 Cat 2D Posts for sale. I've never seen one...ever in person or for sale. That was the last year Pontiac made Full Size 2 door Sedans. Not sure how many were made (can't find my book on that), but it was probably around 5000 to 6000 units. '

I like the 2 door sedans because they're the lightest of the FS Pontiacs, and they usually had very few options. They're the least valuable among the 2 door cars, so it's not sacreligious to make some changes or upgrades if you restore one. Mine was originally a 2 bbl A/T car with very few options. When complete, it'll be a 4 speed (year correct) bench seat car, with full factory gauges, fatcory tach, and few other factory/dealer installed options.

I've attached a photo of the car as it looked in 2000 shortly after I bought it. Drove the wreck from Toledo, OH to Minneapolis, MN...
