Hello Everyone, My stock speedometer cable from the original 2 speed automatic transmission does not fully go in to the plastic gear on the late model TH350 automatic transmission I just put in my 1966 GTO. Since it doesn't seat down all the way into the plastic shaft I can't screw the cap on the threaded part of the piece that goes on the case. Do I need a TH350 cable? A different plastic gear or what? The gear that's in there now is orange and has 35 teeth. I'm running 15 inch rims, 60 series tires and 3:08 rear gears.
Any suggestions?...Gary

The end of the gear must be messed up cause if u go to buy a cable u will get the same cable for all the 4 speeds 3 speeds and the 2 speed auto's and the 350 and 400's. Pull the gear out of the transmission and either replace the gear or rework it to fit.

DRIVE IT LIKE U STOLE IT!
