Im a noob at removeing the heads on a car ... Ive already started bought a book and been following it pretty precisely .. Just wondering if any one has any useful tips on easier romval im actually having probs getting off the 30 year old head bolts.. I blew a head gasket so at least i think i did had all hte symptoms any way yeah im checking that out so any tips would be greatly appriciated actually i need some lol !

Use the longest breaker bar you can find and a six point good quality socket. Also use the shortest extension you can get away with.

Use a steady pull. Should break loose.

Then is assuming you have all the accesory stuff off, ie intake,rocker arms,pushrods,and cover,etc.

I fyou don't have a breaker bar you can use a jack handle on the end of a socket, Thats what I end up doing most of the time.

Make sure you have a back brace on they are heavy..The breaker bar should it,wear gloves and a 6-point shocket is amust...Good-Luck... Dave...1033/stock
